Blue Tape is great for woodworking. One of our customers returned from Krenov's shop at the College of the Redwoods raving about a blue masking tape the folks there used for everything. He was right - this tape is terrific. It sticks powerfully, but leaves no adhesive behind when removed, even after a week on glass exposed to sun. We've removed it flawlessly after 6 months of sticking things together here at the store.
3M's purple delicate surface tape goes a step further. You can even apply it to freshly painted walls (24 hours after painting) without fear of pulling up the paint. Delicate surface tape is only for use indoors.
