Auriou 9 inch Curved Drawknife

Auriou's high quality, hand-forged tools have pleased discriminating woodworkers for generations. Auriou's latest tool creation is a large, curved-blade drawknife and it is sure to become a favorite in your green woodworking tool box. In fact, on Roy Underhill's last visit to our store, we put this tool in his hands for a test spin on the shave horse and he was effusive with his praise about how it performed. The 9" long curved blade has a gentle radius and an effective blade angle that gives fast, controlled cutting. Turned 5" walnut handles with brass ferrules are spaced 13-1/2" apart on center at the blade. The handles splay out slightly, (about 8°), allowing you to comfortably work for long periods with less arm & shoulder fatigue. This drawknife comes honed and ready for use. Weighs 1.2 lbs.
