Make Your Own Toolbox

Toolboxes are a unique project because they can trace the passage of a woodworker’s journey. Often a beginner’s first effort, a toolbox is made to house the very tools used to craft the box. As time passes, the projects evolve into more challenging chests, racks, cabinets, and caddies that mark the development of skill and the accumulation of tools—all while that first banged-up toolbox resides somewhere close at hand.

Compiled from the pages of Popular Woodworking , these 21 classic and practical projects deliver the plans and woodworking know-how needed to make your own custom tool storage. Whether you’re looking for a compact caddy, a rugged-but-portable chest, or a handsomely crafted, many-drawered cabinet to crown your workbench, Make Your Own Toolbox has the project that you’ll use for many years to come.
