Morakniv refers to this as a wood splitting knife, but we've found it to be very useful as a push knife and a draw knife.
Many carvers find this knife to be uniquely suited to roughing large blanks and fairing curved surfaces. While it can be pulled toward you, the knife is most commonly pushed through a cut. Comfortably shaped hardwood handles secure the ~4-1/2" blade for vigorous, easily controlled work. OAL is ~14-1/2".
